Short "hint"

n. - Verse in which certain letters such as the first in each line form a word or message; A puzzle where you fill a square grid with words reading the same vertical as horizontal.

  • A character is like an acrostic or Alexandrian stanza; - read it forward, backward, or across, it still spells the same thing.
  • In a wider sense the name acrostic is applied to alphabetical or "abecedarian" poems.
  • The first four chapters are acrostic, that is each verse begins with a letter of the Hebrew alphabet.
