  • A mail collar hanging from a helmet is camail or aventail.
  • Head and Neck armor - the helmet was called the Bascinet which had a skirt of mail called an aventail to protect the neck.
  • The list above is missing cuisses (thigh armour) 'Ventail' ... there is an aventail, but something is telling me that isn't quite right ....
