  • An abnormally low count known as leukopenia might indicate bone-marrow failure, a disorder of the liver or spleen, lupus or exposure to radiation.
  • Common medical side effects include infection and leukopenia (8-15%), hepatitis (5-10%) and pancreatitis (3%).
  • To determine whether there is a relationship between the development of elevated aminotransferases, leukopenia or pancreatitis and the TPMT level in patients with IBD.
