Posted: 12 / 27 / 2008 at 09: 56AM my dad just had a new well drilled for about 1,000. he only uses it for lawn irrigation as he gets county water for other purposes. not sure how deep they had to go (it's florida so water isnt too deep). as far as filtration systems, the water quality is pretty rough here in my neck of the woods. i have a sofener for my everyday water (showering, etc) and a RO (reverse osmosis) for potability. i'm a bit of a water conniseur. that's what i drink 99\% of the time.
