LearnThatWord's testudy™ technology
Testudy™ is a new, patent-pending technology that fuses testing and studying into one. This process aims to first determine what is already known so that all focus can be directed on repeating content that needs further practice until it is reliably learned.
Research conducted as early as 1923 has shown that a test-study approach to learning is much more efficient than the traditional study-test approach practiced in most school environments, producing better results in less time.
In the test-study approach, the first step is testing, which is a non-judgmental process evaluating which content is already known by the individual student.
The students then receive instruction on the content they still need to master.
Using the Internet and cutting edge educational technology eSpindle is taking this concept a step further by providing a customized learning environment that combines test and study elements into one process, hence the term testudy™.
The strength of this technology are memory-based, repetitive learning tasks, like learning new words and how to spell them, memorizing names, facts etc.
